Bonnie Lane
Bonnie Lane is an Australian interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. In an act of performed autobiography, she presents her ‘life as art’ in a context-based practice that spans writing, object making, dance, video, performance, lectures, and social intervention. Bonnie holds an MFA from New York University and Bachelor degrees from The University of Melbourne and Monash University, Australia. She has received grants from the American-Australian Association, Rudin Foundation, Australia Council for the Arts, National Association for the Visual Arts, and the City of Melbourne. She held solo exhibitions in New York at 80WSE Gallery, WildEmbeddingS, and AC Institute, and in Melbourne at MARS Gallery, Anna Pappas Gallery, Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts, and BUS Projects. Additionally she has presented work at MoCA Taipei; Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts; New York Experimental Film Festival; New York Porn Film Festival; Seoul Museum of Art; Santa Fe New Media Festival; and Pioneer Works; among others. www.bonnielane.net
